Cuervo is Spanish for any bird in the crow/raven family. In countless cultures across the world, they are symbols of wisdom, the supernatural, and death. But our favorite, they are also seen as tricksters, pranksters, wiseguys. Like the time a cuervo stole light and created the Sun, the Moon, and stars.
But they’re not all tall-tales and folklore. Cuervos are smart. Like using tools, counting objects, and remembering faces smart. Cuervos are also social animals, gathering in groups of hundreds or thousands. And they’re loyal, sometimes mating for life and often helping to raise younger brothers and sisters. Plus, they look good in black.
And that’s who we try to be in a nutshell. More trickster than tough guy. More social than individual. We love soccer like cuervos love shiny things. Our songs and banners are our tools, and LAFC our family. We welcome all people with open arms (or should we say wings?), and hold no place for discrimination of any kind in our supporters group. Nor do we embrace violence (yes, we know it’s called a “murder of crows” but see above points). The only punching we expect to see is on field as our future goalkeeper deals with crosses.
And if all of that sounds good, you sound like our kind of person.
